A glimpse of South Sawyer glacier in Alaska’s Tracy Arm fjord:
Normally, cruise ships can get really close to this glacier — this way the passengers can get dramatic shots of the glacier “calving” little icebergs. Unfortunately for us, the glacier had an unusually early surge of calving a week or so before we got there. As a result, we had to settle for this interesting vista of floating ice blocking our path.
Still, not your everyday view!
