Old Dog Photography

They got too friendly:

This is just a silly little image I put together a while back — partially as an experiment, and partially to give me something fun to put on Flickr (just to give people a chuckle to help their day get started). Making it was simple, at least conceptually.

First, start with a picture of the stikfas dinosaurs:

Next, use Photoshop Elements to select and black out the background, and tweak levels just a bit:

Now use some custom brushes to add “stars” in the background:

Finally use texture layers in PS Elements to give the image that age-old, time-warn look — and you’re done!

By the way, the Sparkle brushes I used come courtesy of Obsidian Dawn, while the paper texture is “Old Paper” by playingwithbrushes. I also used some textures of my own in this work.
