Every once in a while, I find myself struggling to find something new to photograph. When you’re a family guy (but don’t want to put your kid’s pictures on flickr for safety reasons), this means your subjects and time are both limited.
So I was helping “the pup” put together another of her artistic creations with fuse beads the other night, and it occurred to me they would make a pretty colorful subject on their own:
Basically this is just a couple of handfuls of fuse beads on some white paper. Toss in a bit of decent lighting (daylight white balance compact fluorescent bulb and a white umbrella), and you’ve got color! I used a short DOF because I like the bokeh background here — what do you think?
