Every year, the Denver City & County Building (in downtown Denver, Colorado) gets lit up in all sorts of colors for the holidays. It can be a bit gaudy, but it’s always festive. Here’s what it looks like this year:
As usual, there’s also a bit of a story here.
Another nice part of Christmas in Denver is that on a few scattered days in December and January, the city folks have “photographers’ nights.” Basically this just means that the street lights get turned off in front of the City & County building so you can get a better image of it.
So a few nights back, I went downtown to shoot the lights on a photographers’ night — along with 20 or 30 other members of the Denver Digital Photography Meetup Group. This is just the first of a series of pictures I took on the outing (more will be in upcoming posts)…
