Another shot from the stock show, this time from an incubator set up for kids to see:
I was surprised at how well this turned out — shooting through glass, you’re never too sure beforehand, you know? Anyway, the incubator was up against a wall in one of the areas set up for kids (not by the petting zoo, but over by an area where kids could see rabbits and geese and roosters in cages). The incubator light wound up being a really ally — not only did it keep the chicks warm, it kept them clustered together.
This made my shot immensely easier (thanks, guys!). I also like the natural vignetting it gave the image…
