An old (film) dog's odyssey to learn new (digital) tricks

Arch reflections

January 25th, 2009 in Images, Urban

A shot from last summer — of St. Louis’ Gateway Arch, at twilight:

Arch reflections

It’s amazing how the look of the Gateway Arch can change so dramatically with changes in lighting. In broad daylight it looks gray, solid, and imposing. With twilight, you can start seeing the ripples in its surface, and it looks almost liquid.

I’ve never heard of this Archway Gate before but it does indeed look almost liquid!

The gateway arch is really an impressiv building. Especially the elevators are awesome. I really recommend everybody to check it out.
