A bengal tiger at the Los Angeles Zoo:

When I was at the zoo, the attendants had just set out food for the tigers — but only the adult male was in their outdoor area, his kids were nowhere to be seen. Instead of eating the food, he would sniff at it from time to time while pacing his area making an odd sound. Calling the kids to dinner, maybe?
