OK, I’ll admit it — I’m a technology junky.
I’ve spent most of the past week on a family vacation, and planned things out in advance so I’d have internet connectivity on the trip without taking the laptop along. It’d just weigh me down, and besides, I have my iPod along and it’ll do wi-fi. I’ve even figured out how to use the iPod to upload a few images to Flickr, and later post them on this blog. Everything’s all set, right?
So we just made it into our hotel on the first night of the trip. The little one’s in bed, my wife’s reading a book, I pull out the iPod to check email and such. I’m commenting on some Flickr contacts’ images when the 3rd party software I’m using for the job crashes and takes the iPod down with it:
Not a good sight — particularly since the iTunes library it wants / needs to connect with is a thousand miles away at the time. So if you’re wondering why no new images on my stream or posts on this blog for the past week — now you know. I inadvertently stepped a decade backwards in technology…
The good news is, though, that I took upwards of 800 images while relaxing with the family. So stay tuned for some fun shots!
