Old Dog Photography

From the beach at Santa Monica, California:

I’m really learning to love my E-3. The swiveling screen lets me take pictures from ground level without getting a sore neck, and the weatherproofing means I no longer have to fret about dust and sand and mist while I’m shooting.

As for the shot, we wandered through here on an unseasonably cool / gray / overcast day. But given that we live nowhere near a beach, and rarely get on one, we were happy to be there just the same. The boardwalk along the Santa Monica beach is pretty nearly straight — but there’s this one “kink” in it. I thought that was the most interesting part of it…
