An interesting little group scene at the Los Angeles Zoo:
This image comes from our recent family vacation in L.A. Mrs. Argos was off looking at some gardens in Pasadena, and “the pup” and I were looking for something interesting to see while she did her botanical thing. Since the L.A. Zoo is just a few miles down the road from Pasadena, it wound up being a natural place to stop and look around.
Unfortunately, we made it to the front gate just after a few busses of school kids arrived. I took this shot from the middle of a crowd of chatty grade schoolers. The meerkats for their part seemed to be trying to look nonchalant. I was happy to capture a group of them with a dark background and the Sun behind them, for a nice rimlight effect.
