As part of the wave (at least in the U.S.) of dying newspapers, one of Seattle’s two daily papers recently went out of print, and switched to an online-only business model. As a result, their signature neon sign on the Seattle waterfront is now homeless (although fortunately, still lit):
What can I say, I just love neon. Anyway, some locals told me that the plan was for the moving neon sign (the red letters rotate around the globe) to move further soon — to a local museum. Apparently an online newspaper can’t justify the cost of a fancy building and sign on the waterfront.
