At The Great Hall of the Clans, part of the Gaelic College of Celtic Arts and Crafts in St. Ann’s, Nova Scotia.
The trickiest aspect of this shot came from the fact that the glasses and log book are under glass in a display case. Very reflective, lots of unshielded overhead fluorescent tubes. Took me what felt like forever to find an angle to shoot from that didn’t show a huge amount of glare — even with a polarizing filter on my lens! The glasses and log book, by the way, come from a display about a Scottish preacher whose followers settled St. Ann’s in the 19th century, then moved on to Australia and New Zealand.
