About Argos
“Back in the day,” film photography was my thing — and I think I was pretty good at it, if only as a hobby. Then came marriage and family and digital point-and-shoot cameras (so much easier to tote, when you’re laden with baby gear).
Now, years later, things are settling down for me. Enough so that I wanted to take another run at photography beyond family snap-shots. So I got a shiny new DSLR, and decided that I might as well make it earn its keep.
This photoblog is about my journey, learning how to make the best use of my new photographic friend, and unlearning some bad habits I picked up from my time with point-and-shoots. Come along with me, and maybe we can learn a thing or two together…

If you’re curious about such things, this site runs on Wordpress software, using a heavily tweaked version of the Ngatini theme by Jauhari. And hey, he even featured this site’s customized theme on his blog!
